Hell to da yeah!!! First let me just send out my apologies for the delay of this album. As an independent artist, sometimes "life" just seems to get in the way at the most inappropriate times. Add that to me wanting to ensure that (you) all my fans and supporters are getting the best product from me that I am capable of presenting to you. With that comes multiple rewrites of songs, and re-recordings of certain songs or vocals. But better late than never right?
This album is definitely me at my best. And perhaps my most vulnerable in regards to subject matter. Certain things addressed on this particular album come from a multitude of events over the course of 2019-2021. And though I am a hip-hop artist who prides himself in using the culture to flex my mic skills. It would be dismissive of my talents to not delve into some of the more "personal" events of my life. But whether its tales of street life, me bragging about how dope an MC I am (which I am...Lol!), or sharing with you my experiences of heartbreak. One thing with this album I can assure you. You're gonna be bobbing ya fucking head the whole time through.
This album is my 3rd album as a solo artist in a career spanning over 20 years. And despite there being times where I look around at the current landscape of hip-hop/rap and ask myself "Do you think it's time to step to the side and let the jits have all the fun and glory?" I pause and reflect on how despite being well into her 70's, the queen Maya Angelou was still regarded as one of the top and most influential poets on the planet. And though I may not have Ms. Angelou's accolades and notoriety. What I do have that she had, was a talent of bringing words to life...being able to have my words evoke emotions and inspiration. And as long as I have that ability I'm gonna remain a problem with a pen and a pad until the casket drops.
